Project
Rave Space rebuilt the physical Re:Connect Popup Space on Ku’damm for their new Samsung devices launch in Berlin. Partnered with Samsung Germany and Cheil Germany GmbH to promote the latest Galaxy Watch5, Z Flip4, and Z Fold4 devices, we added a virtual Club & Gallery which are represented as portals in the real location.
This remarkable achievement has put us in the running for not just one, but TWO prestigious internet awards: The Webby Award and The Webby People’s Voice Award
Visitors had the opportunity to explore the Metaverse with a gamepad on the new Q LED Screens and even live mint AI artworks of their own creation which then appeared in the gallery.
Situation
The Metaverse is one of the most debated topics in the tech world; some believe it’s the next big thing, while others are a bit more sceptical. As a tech leader, with the help of its smart connected devices, Samsung can break down the barriers between the virtual and physical worlds, ushering in a new era of immersive experiences.
Idea
A phygital experience that blurs the boundaries between the metaverse and the realverse, allowing visitors to experience both worlds simultaneously. Instead of claiming that the Metaverse would replace our real world, Samsung could show that with connected smart devices you can make the best of both.

Execution
The month-long installation consisted of two interlocking experiences – physical and digital.

In the realverse, an experiential event in the heart of Berlin allowed visitors to experience the metaverse on a never-before scale.

In the metaverse, not only did it mirror the physical space, but also visitors were able to experience everything the event has to offer virtually.
The Experiences
Throughout the entire experience, Samsung connected devices acted as portals between the metaverse and the realverse allowing the visitors to create AI-Artworks in the realverse and see them exhibited in the metaverse gallery with the help of custom software. Discover and preorder the newly-launched Galaxy foldable phones in an omnichannel environment, or even enjoy a virtual drink while partying at a metarave and pair it with a drink at the realverse’s Re:Connect Lounge.

Impressions

Results
Being a local month-long event, not only did Re:Connect rock Kurfürstendamm, Berlin’s busiest boulevard, but it was also able to welcome visitors from all over Germany in the metaverse, transcending its physical boundaries.
