ENGAGE XR partnered with Kia Europe and Kia Germany to create Kia Eco Island, an immersive virtual experience designed to showcase the potential of electric vehicles (EVs) as more than just transportation. Built within the ENGAGE platform, the project allows users to explore an interactive island powered by EVs, demonstrating future applications of clean energy in an engaging and intuitive environment.
The Challenge
Kia sought to highlight the broader role of electric vehicles in the energy ecosystem. The Solution
The ENGAGE XR in-house studio designed, developed, and tested Kia Eco Island, a fully immersive virtual environment. Within the island, users can drive the latest Kia EV9 or ride electrically powered scooters, jet skis, and surfboards. To extend the experience, the EV9 can be parked at power terminals, enabling it to power alternative vehicles on the island.

By leveraging immersive technologies, the project created a fun and educational space that highlights how EVs can function as mobile energy hubs. The environment is available through ENGAGE LINK, the platform’s persistent virtual world for enterprise use cases, making the experience globally accessible.

The Results
Kia Eco Island is now live and accessible on ENGAGE, providing users with a memorable way to explore the future of electric mobility.
