Together with Christian Dior Couture and Snapchat, PLAYAR created one of the first ever branded AR experiences designed exclusively for Snap Spectacles.
Launched at Crafted for Luxury – Snap’s invite-only event spotlighting innovation in high-end fashion – the Dior Spectacles experience marks a new chapter in immersive storytelling.
Deeply Dior, Spatially Spectacular
For the launch of Dior’s Lucky Collection , PLAYAR was asked to translate themes of astrology and craftsmanship into an experience that would feel both intimate and celestial. Their goal: to make the abstract tangible, rooted in Dior’s signature elegance, but unfolding in spatial reality.
Wearing Spectacles, users begin by selecting a card tied to their astrological sign. It shatters into four fragments suspended in space. Guided by Dior’s iconic bee, they use hand gestures to reassemble the card mid-air, unveiling a bespoke animation inspired by their sign’s symbolic energy.

The Storyboard
For most visitors, this was their first time using AR glasses, therefore UX was a top priority.
Text prompts, voice guidance, hand gestures, and object animations worked together to ensure a smooth, intuitive experience.

Designed for the Edge of Reality
Built in just 2.5 weeks by a dedicated PLAYAR team of eight, the experience was the first of its kind for a luxury brand on Spectacles . Every detail – from storyboarding and interaction design to sound, visual effects, and gesture control – was tailored for this format.
Designed exclusively for Spectacles, the interaction blends:
- Hand-tracked gestures & world-anchored 3D elements
- Dior’s design language translated into responsive AR
- A seamless loop from tactile tradition to futuristic storytelling
