Overview
PIGIAMA KASAMA, a game production studio specializing in immersive digital experiences, 3D storytelling, and branded gaming, is known for helping clients craft engaging digital experiences. With Kasama: The Awakening, the studio chose to do for itself what it usually does for others: create a fully original, IP-driven game experience inspired by its own brand, identity, and vision.
Kasama: The Awakening is a narrative universe and creative manifesto, born out of the desire to explore the expressive potential of interactive storytelling and world-building. The project reflects PIGIAMA KASAMA’s creative DNA: oniric atmospheres, symbolic characters, evocative aesthetics, and demonstrates how original IPs can be a powerful asset in brand storytelling and engagement.
Concept
The story follows Orion the Orange, a dreamlike character on a journey through the mystical world of Kastania. Players travel across symbolic landscapes, uncovering secrets and confronting inner fears to restore balance in a fragile and magical realm.
Built as a playable cinematic experience, Kasama: The Awakening combines high-impact visuals, atmospheric sound design, and a strong narrative arc to deliver a sensory-rich journey that speaks to the subconscious and emotional memory of the player.
The Kasamas: Guardians of the Dreamworld
At the heart of Kasama: The Awakening lies a mythological foundation rooted in the lore of the sacred chestnut tree. From this ancient source of energy, three unique spirits emerge, known as the Kasamas, each embodying a different phase of the human dream cycle.
- Ipno, the firstborn, brings the gift of sleep. As the original fruit of the sacred tree, his presence allows living beings to rest and regain their strength.
- Morpheo, the dream-shaper, grants access to the realm of dreams. He opens the doorway to imagination and transformation during sleep.
- Phao, the youngest, awakens dreamers and gives them the power to remember their visions, so they can pursue them in the waking world.
Together, these three entities guide the player through a journey, anchoring the entire game’s mythos in a symbolic cycle of rest, dream, and awakening.
Available on all types of devices
This game is a challenge to the status quo of online 3D games, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in gaming. Immerse yourself in the magical world of Kastania with stunning visuals and seamless gameplay, no matter where you are or what device you use.
The game was initially released as a web-based 3D experience on Spatial, allowing users to access it instantly via web with no need for installation. It quickly gained traction, generating over 136,000 views and more than 1,500 ‘loves’ within the Spatial community, strong indicators of organic engagement and audience resonance.
In June 2025, a new and enhanced version launched on Steam, featuring improved graphics, refined animations, and the original soundtrack composed by Francesco Gentile and Andrea De Felicibus, available as additional downloadable content.
This multi-platform strategy reflects PIGIAMA KASAMA’s approach to accessible yet high-quality immersive experiences, combining cross-device usability with cinematic standards of production.

The development process leveraged a wide range of creative tools and production software, including: Unity, Spatial, Blender, Unreal Engine, Adobe Substance Painter, Marvelous Designer, DaVinci Resolve, Figma, Gravity Sketch, Autodesk Maya, Logic Pro X, Universal Audio.
Partnership with Treedom
Kasama: The Awakening is set in a magical chestnut forest: a place of mystery, memory, and transformation. It might feel like fantasy, but forests like Kasama’s do exist, and in some parts of the world, they’re at risk.
To celebrate the game’s launch, PIGIAMA KASAMA teamed up with Treedom to plant new trees around the globe; a way to connect the story’s themes with real-world impact and give something back to the forests that inspired it. The result: 20 new trees planted worldwide, which have already absorbed approximately 6 tons of CO₂.
Outcome
With Kasama: The Awakening, PIGIAMA KASAMA demonstrates how original storytelling, immersive design, and strategic IP creation can become a platform for brand identity and cultural resonance. The game serves as an expressive playground but also as a business case for the power of interactive narrative experiences in today’s media landscape.
